COP15: CJA spokeswomen released
The van with Stine and Tannie at The Bella center just before the arrests
Stine Gry Jonassen and Tannie Nyboe – both spokeswomen for Climate Justice Action who
were remanded in custody for a week following a COP15 demonstration last Wednesday,
have been released from detention a day early.
Both were charged with inciting violence by trying to get demonstrators to press
through police lines in order to reach the fence surrounding the Bella Center.
It is unclear why the two have been released early.
“We feel that this has been an attempt to silence Climate Justice Action and other
critical voices,” writes Stine Gry Jonassen of the detentions.
Tadzio Müller, the CJA German spokesman who was released after three days in detention.
The CJA’s German spokesman has also been released. Tadzio Müller, 33, was released
last Saturday after three days in detention.
Cases against all three have, however, not been annulled.
